NCERT syllabus has two books for Class 1 English, Marigold and Raindrops. Marigold has 10 chapters and Raindrops has 19 chapters. It is important to complete all the chapters of these two books within a year. This is why it is very important to plan the number of days which can be given to each chapter of the books.

We don’t have the whole year to teach these two books, teachers hardly get 10 months to complete the syllabus. Three exams are also included in these 10 months only. In order to complete the class 1 English syllabus, it is important to complete 1 chapter every week from Raindrops book and 1 chapter every two weeks from Marigold book.
