Policy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what CALP (calp.training) collects about you and your child, why, who else sees it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain words. It follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

ETmantra eLearning Solutions Pvt Ltd (“CALP”, “we”, “us”), 7 Panchvati, Shyam Nagar, Bodla Road, Shahganj, Agra, Uttar Pradesh 282010, India. GSTIN 09AAECE5474H1ZE.

Who this is about

Most learners on CALP are children. A parent or guardian should create the account, pay for the course and agree to this policy for a child under 18. If you are a child reading this, please ask a parent to sign in with you.

What we collect

  • Contact details: name, mobile number, email address, and the class the learner is in, when you sign up, try a course free, enquire or write to us.
  • Learning records: which lessons were opened, practice scores, stars, certificates and progress.
  • Voice: in speaking activities the learner’s voice is recorded and sent to a speech-checking service, so we can show what was said well and what to improve. We do not publish it or show it to other learners.
  • Payments: the amount, date, status and payment ID. Card, UPI and bank details go straight to the payment gateway. We never see or store them.
  • How you found us: the link that brought you (for example a campaign or a marketing partner’s link), so we know what works and can credit the partner. This is saved with your enquiry or purchase.
  • Technical data: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, and basic device and browser information.

Why we use it

  • To give you the course you bought or tried, and to keep your progress.
  • To take payment, issue GST invoices and keep the records the law requires.
  • To answer you, and to send notices about your course, such as new lessons, expiry and payment receipts.
  • To send course offers you asked for. Every message has a way to stop.
  • To keep the service safe and to fix problems.

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads to children, and we do not track children to target them with ads.

Who else handles it

We use trusted companies to run the service. They handle data only for us and only for these jobs:

  • a payment gateway, to take payments and refunds;
  • cloud hosting, database and file storage, to run the website and keep your records;
  • email, SMS or WhatsApp services, to send notices;
  • a speech and language service, to check speaking practice and give feedback;
  • YouTube, which plays some videos (we use its privacy-enhanced mode);
  • Gravatar, which supplies a profile picture if you have one. It works from a coded form of your email address, never the address itself.

Some of these companies keep data on servers outside India. We may also share data when the law or a court requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and learning records while your account is active. Payment and invoice records stay for as long as tax law requires. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise the rest, except what the law makes us keep.

Your rights

You may ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. A parent can do this for a child. Write to us, and we will answer within 2 working days. You can also ask to stop marketing messages at any time, with the link in the message or by writing to us.

Security

Connections to calp.training are encrypted. Access to records is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly safe. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
